Public parks

Viva Rio is responsible for managing 19 conservation sites in the state of Rio de Janeiro since May 2017 with a team of 250 park officers.

Viva Rio is responsible for security and conservation at the parks, but also aims to attract more visitors and promote ecotourism. It is vital to encourage the involvement of residents from neighboring areas and invite local schools for visits. We are also making improvements, in partnership with the State Government, such as opening new trails, picnic areas and attractions for children.
